MRS. FANNIE PATTEN


Mrs. Fannie Patten, widow of George O. Patten, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Joyce at Lisbon Falls following a long illness. She was born in Foxcroft April 2, 1848, the daughter of Samuel and Susan Goss Paige, the youngest of 10 children. When six years of age, her mother died and she went to Topsham to live with Otis and Eliza Staples. She married Mr. Patten, a well-known Topsham farmer who died in 1919.

Mrs. Patten is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Eliza Joyce, who cared for her during her last illness; Mrs. Mary Donnell of Brunswick and Mrs. Alice Merriman of Topsham; two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and one sister in California. She was a member of the Topsham Baptist Church.

In Lisbon Falls, May 27, Fannie Patten, age 80, widow of George O. Patten. Funeral services will be held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Joyce, Tuesday, May 29 at 2 p.m. standard time.
