Postmaster George C. Hunton of Readfield, Accidentally Killed
READFIELD, Me., March 2 - Postmaster George C. Hunton was dangerously wounded Sunday night by a rifle bullet fired accidentally by his son, Emery, aged seven years. The boy was playing with a .22 caliber rifle. It went off unexpectedly, the bullet hitting his father in the forehead between the eyebrows. A local physician who examined the wound decided that the bullet had pierced the skull and entered the brain.
Mr. Hunton died within a few hours. His age was 38 years.
