Howard Jennings

WATERVILLE --
Howard S. Jennings, 76, of 12 Donald St., Waterville, died at a Waterville hospital early Saturday morning.

He was born in Leeds, September 24, 1895, the son of William and Hannah Adams Jennings. He attended Monmouth Academy and was employed by the New England Telephone Co. for 37 years, retiring in 1960. Mr. Jennings was a 51 year member of Waterville Lodge, past president of Kennebec Council of Telephone Pioneers and past president of Kennebec Retired Club of Telephone Pioneers of America. He was a member of VWWI Barracks and the American Legion and attended the Getchell Street Baptist Church.

Surviving are his widow, the former Maude H. Goggin; a daughter, Miss Frances Jennings, Waterville; a brother, Harold of Livermore Falls; and three sisters, Mrs. Albert Fickett, Mrs. Stella Mosher, and Mrs. Alton Wing, all of Auburn.
