Georgia Jackson

MILAN, N.H. -- Mrs. Georgia Carver Jackson, 94, of Milan, died Monday at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in New Hampshire after a long illness.

She was born in Leeds, July 30, 1893, the daughter of John E. and Dorcas J. Richards Carver. She was employed as a private duty licensed practical nurse and lived most of her life in the Lewiston/Auburn area of Maine. She moved to Milan in 1970 where she made her home with her daughter, Jennifer Donaldson. She was a former member of the Milan Grange.

Survivors include a son, Merton L. Jackson of Poland, Me.; four daughters, Mrs. Bernard (Jennie) Donaldson of Milan, Mrs. Norma Martin of Sarasota, Fla., Mrs. Lucien (Mae) Nadeau and Mrs. Philipe (Helen) Gervais, both of Lewiston; two step-daughters, Mrs. Rena Lunn of Sarasota, Fla., and Mrs. Esther Stiles of Milan; 22 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Notices

JACKSON -- Died in Berlin, N.H., March 14, 1988, Mrs. Georgia Carver Jackson. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. from Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, with interment in Foss Cemetery, Leeds. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
