Word was received Thursday of the sudden death of Alfred Troup at his home in Dover, Minn. Full particulars are not yet learned. His brother Charles Troup and wife left Thursday afternoon for the funeral.

Alfred Troup was born in Middleport, at the old Troup homestead, sixty-six years ago. He spent his boyhood days here, but for the past several years has lived in Minnesota. As a boy and young man he was a great favorite of the younger set of his day, being full of life and good cheer. In his frequent visits to Watseka during recent years, he was apparently the same light-hearted, jolly fellow he was in his younger days.

Alfred married Isabelle White Lindsey, daughter of Levi Lindsey and Mary R.
