CHARLES S. SANBORN

Monmouth, Dec. 7
-- News of the death of Charles S. Sanborn, 66, Beverly, Mass., was received Saturday by his brother, James H. Sanborn, East Monmouth.

Mr. Sanborn was in attendance at a Masonic meeting when he was stricken with an attack of angina pectoris and did not rally.

Mr. Sanborn was the son of Sumner R. and Hannah (Davis) Sanborn, East Monmouth. He was educated in the Monmouth schools. Mr. Sanborn was married Sept. 1, 1888 to Miss Mary Lindsay, North Monmouth. They were the parents of six children, Frederick, Clara and Helen, who are married and living in Beverly, Irene, who is a teacher of chemistry in a Western college, Roscoe and Sumner died several years ago.

Mr. Sanborn had been for many years with the United Shoe Manufacturing Co. He was prominent in church work and in the Masonic order and was well known for his intellectual force, moral integrity and devotion to his family and friends.

Besides his widow and children named, Mr. Sanborn is survived by several grandchildren; two brothers, Herbert Sanborn, Orlando, Fla., and James II Sanborn, Monmouth, also several nephews and a niece.
