FRANCES WORCESTER

PITTSFIELD - Frances Worcester, 80, died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, at the Ross Manor in Bangor. She was born Dec. 26, 1918, in Springfield, the daughter of Guy and Jennie (Lindsay) Monroe.

She was a graduate of Eastern Maine Institute. She was a private caregiver for the elderly in the Boston suburbs, Bangor area and Clearwater, Fla. In earlier years, she enjoyed making crafts.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ollie Worcester in 1961; a daughter, Bernice Averill; and a brother, Lloyd Monroe. She is survived by a son, Reginald Worcester of Pittsfield; a daughter, Betty Faulkner of Pittsfield; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; a sister, Agnes Ham of Mattawamkeag; nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, at the Thompson Cemetery, Prentiss. Memorial donations may be made to the Neni and Ralph Averill Scholarship Fund, Lee Academy, Lee 04455. Arrangements are with Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, 35 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield.
