MARTHA CAREY
BANGOR -- Martha Carey, 92, died Dec. 26, 1997, at a local healthcare center after a long illness.
She was born in Hermon, May 11, 1905, the daughter of Ivory A. and Sadie (Ring) Carey. She had worked as a practical nurse at the former Home for Aged Women on State Street, now Phillips-Stickland House, where she had been a resident for several years. Martha was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one niece, Carlene J. Carey; one nephew, Carl N. Carey, both of Brewer; and several cousins.
Graveside services will be held at Clewleyville Cemetery, Holden, at a date and time to be announced in the spring. A service of Brookings-Smith, Bangor.
