WINN -- Henry E. Carey, 73, died Nov. 26 in a Lincoln hospital.
He was born at Olaman, Feb. 24, 1901, the son of James Wesley and Katherine (McCarty) Carey.
He is survived by his widow, Mildred (Hurlbert) Carey of Winn; six sons, James of Medway, Carl of Winn, Delmont and Norman of Howland, Leroy of Edinburg and Theodore of West Enfield; two daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Martin of Maxfield, Mrs. Eldora Merrill of Passadumkeag; one step-daughter, Mrs. Ruth Afholderbach of Bridgeport, Conn.; two brothers, Bernard Spencer of Medway and James Carey of Bridgeport, Conn.; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Michaud of Old Town, Mrs. Elizabeth Harten [sic] of Bridgeport, Conn., Mrs. Mattie Davis of Mattawamkeag; 32 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Clay Funeral Home in Lincoln, the Rev. Leopold Damrosch officiating. Interment will be in East Winn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
