NELLIE (CAREY) ELLIOTT
BANGOR -- Nellie (Carey) Elliott, 85, died Feb. 15, 1993 at a Bangor hospital.
She was born Feb. 2, 1908 in East Bucksport, the daughter of Gardner and Blanche (Hubbard) Carey. She attended schools in Orland and worked for many years in area shoe factories.
She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, George W. Elliott, in 1973; one son, Russell G. Elliott; one brother, Millard Bowden; and one sister, Helen Holyoke.
Surviving are one son, Wayne R. Elliott, and his wife, Shirley of Brewer; one daughter, Georgia E. Hutchins and her husband, Charles, of Penobscot; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Hutchins of Medway; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At her request, there will be no services. Donations in her memory may be made to Eastern Area Agency on Aging, Twin City Plaza, Brewer 04412. Arrangements by Healey Funeral Home, South Street, Blue Hill.
