MRS. MARY CANWELL

NORTH MONMOUTH -- Mrs. Mary H. Canwell, widow of George Canwell, died Wednesday at Hammond Nursing Home, Turner, following a long illness.

Native of Carthage, she was born Feb. 2, 1875, daughter of Moses and Abbie Allen Hammond. She was a Monmouth Academy graduate and a member of North Monmouth Community Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Guy Buckley, Leeds and Mrs. J.B. Nims, Auburn; two sons, Clifford and Clyde, both of this village; 16 grandchildren, seven great-granchildren and a half sister, Mrs. Bertha Leonard, Wilton.

DIED -- In Turner, Mrs. Mary H. Canwell, age 89, of North Monmouth. Funeral services will be held from the Bragdon - Flanders Funeral Home, Monmouth, Friday 2 p.m., where friends may call Thursday afternoon and evening. Entombment King Memorial Vault. Burial in the spring at the Ridge Cemetery.
