NORTH MONMOUTH --
Roscoe E. Lindsey died at his home here early Friday morning after two years of failing health. He was born in North Monmouth, July 31, 1874, the son of Everett and Elizabeth Berry Lindsey.

For 16 years, Mr. Lindsey was employed by the United Shoe Machine company in Beverly, Mass. He was at one time proprietor of the Relco Manufacturing Co. here in North Monmouth and for a while superintendent of the Winthrop Woolen Mills. For the past 10 years, he was an agent for the Heart of Maine Real Estate.

Mr. Lindsey was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Boyton Chapter, OES, the North Monmouth Grange.

Surviving are his widow, the former Effie Colby of Lyndon, Vt.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Sanborn, Beverly, Mass., and Mrs. Joseph Walker, Spencerport, N.Y.; a brother, George Albert Lindsey, North Monmouth; a half-sister, Miss Clara Lindsey of Beverly; a half-brother, Roland Lindsey, and several nieces and nephews.

DIED -- In North Monmouth, Jan. 23, Roscoe E. Lindsey. Funeral services will be held from the home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment at Haskell Cemetery, Winthrop.
