ALVIN O. KNAPP

STRATTON -- Alvin Omer Knapp, 80, died Friday night at the home of Mrs. Sybil Smart, where he had been cared for nearly three years.

He was born at North New Portland, the son of John and Mary Viles Knapp and was educated in the schools of New Portland.

He married Miss Susie Smith and they went to live at Flagstaff, moving to Stratton about 30 years ago. For many years, Mr. Knapp was janitor of the schools here.

Surviving are four children, Mrs. Wayne Fletcher, Eustis; J.W. Knapp, Portland; Mrs. Erma Johnson, Stratton; Marshall Knapp, Klamath, Calif.; four grandchildren, one great grandchild.
