MONMOUTH --
Miss Clara J. Lindsay, 91, one of the oldest residents of Beverly, Mass., died Saturday at her home, 90 1/2 Essex St.

Miss Lindsay was born at Leeds, Nov. 29, 1856, the daughter of Roscoe C. and Eliza A. Berry Lindsay. She made her home at Beverly the past 36 years. For over 50 years, she was employed at the Boston, Mass. office of the Singer Sewing Machine Company, retiring 20 years ago. Miss Lindsay was a member of the Congregational Church of Monmouth and the DAR of Winthrop.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary A. Sanborn, with whom she made her home, Mrs. Josephine L. Walker of Spencer Point, N.Y.; a brother, George of North Monmouth and several nieces and nephews.

DIED -- In Beverly, Mass., Oct. 2, Miss Clara J. Lindsay of 90 1/2 Essex St., Beverly, age 92 years. Service at the Lee & Moody Funeral Home, 9 Dane St., Beverly, Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 3 p.m. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
