Ruth Dickinson
SCHAGHTICOKE -- Mrs. Ruth E. Knapp Dickinson, 87, formerly of Pleasant Avenue, died Wednesday at Heritage House Nursing Center in Troy after a brief illness.
Born and educated in North New Portland, Maine, Mrs. Dickinson lived in Schaghticoke most of her life.
She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church.
Her husband, Frederick J. Dickinson, died in 1967.
Survivors include two sons, Frederick G. Dickinson of Ocala, Fla., and Earl F. Dickson of Schaghticoke; two daughters, Margaret Baldwin and Joan Sawyer, both of Schaghticoke; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian buruial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Church, Route 40.
Burial will be in St. John Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Chase Funeral Home, 173 Main St.
