Mrs. Annie Stockford

WINTHROP --
Mrs. Annie L. Stockford, 74, widow of Walter Stockford, died Tuesday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Williams of this town.

Born at Leeds, April 10, 1885, she was the daughter of Lewis and Flora Curtis Lindsey and had been a resident here for the past 50 years. She had been a former operator of the Lewiston, Greene, Monmouth Telephone Company and had been a member of the Winthrop Congregational Church and Arthur Lovejoy Rebekah Lodge.

Besides her daughter, she is survived by a son, Russell Stockford, also of this town; two other daughters, Mrs. John Kenney, Topsham, and Mrs. Ralph Sylvester, Manchester; a brother, Harry Lindsey, Leeds, and nine grandchildren.

DIED -- in Winthrop, Oct. 13, Mrs. Annie L. Stockford. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Bowdoin St., Winthrop. Friends may call at the funeral home.

The cause of his death was carcinoma of the rectum due to metastasis of the liver. He received treatment via an operation May of 1949.
