ETTA T. "SALLY" LOWELL

Etta T. "Sally" Lowell, 94, passed away at her residence Monday, April 7, 2003. She was born April 8, 1908, in Lee, the daughter of the late Carl B. and Grace (Cook) Thompson.

She worked in the circulation department at Waterville Morning Sentinel and volunteered at Waterville Area Food Bank. Mrs. Lowell loved taking care of her family. She was a member of the First Congressional Church in Waterville.

She is survived by a son, B. Edwin Lowell, and his wife, Catherine M., of Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter, Jane E. Lowell of Waterville; two sisters, Irma Potter of Lincoln and Grace Tinkham of Wales; a granddaughter, Ashleigh Jane Long and her husband, Robert, of Charlotte, N.C.; and a great grandson, Connor William Long of Charlotte, N.C. and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Etta will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at First Congressional Church, 7 Eustis Parkway, Waterville, with the Rev. Drs. David and Alice Anderman officiating. Cremation will take place at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Congregational Church, 7 Eustis Parkway, Waterville, ME 04901, the Humane Society, Waterville area, 120 Drummond Ave., Waterville, ME 04901, or to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, Fairfield.
