Ben Lowell Poole, of 161 Hickory St., died at a local nursing home Wednesday afternoon. He was born in Dover Foxcroft, Me., May 7, 1881, and had lived in this city for the past 43 years, where he was a proprietor of the People Boat and Canoe Livery, Watershops Pond, for a number of years.

He was a member of the Asbury Methodist Church; the Mosaic Lodge, AF & AM, of Dover Foxcroft.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Marion (Johnson) Poole at home; two sons, William L. of Northampton and Robert C. of this city; a daughter, Mrs. Lois Rosenthal [sic] of this city; a brother, Maynard of Dover Foxcroft; a sister, Mrs. Delia Ranger of Dover Foxcroft.

The funeral will be held at the Byron Funeral Home Saturday at 3 p.m. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Visiting hours today are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
