Philip R. Jackson

Philip R. Jackson, 60, of New Gloucester, died Saturday night at a Lewiston hospital after a short illness.

He was born at Newton, Mass., Aug. 2, 1914, the son of Philip R. and Georgia Carver Jackson. Educated in the schools of Leeds, he was married in 1936 to Laurette Mailhot at Rumford. He was employed at the Knapp Shoes until his retirement four years ago.

He is survived by his widow of New Gloucester; his mother, Milan, N.H.; a son, Raymond, New Gloucester; three daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Bradgon, Auburn, Mrs. Denise Polland, Lewiston, and Mrs. Lorraine Goulet, Newington, Conn.; a brother, Merton L. Jackson, Poland; six sisters, Mrs. Jennie Donaldson, Miland, N.H., Mrs. Norma Martin, Florida, Mrs. May Nadeau and Mrs. Helen Gervais, Lewiston, Mrs. Esther Styles, Milan, N.H., and Mrs. Lena Lunn, Florida; and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral Notices

JACKSON -- at Lewiston, July 5, 1975, Philip R. Jackson, age 60. Funeral services will be held from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son Wednesday 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Auburn. Friends may call at the chapel Monday 7-9 p.m., Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
