Berkeley G. Henley

NORTH WATERFORD --
Berkeley G. Henley, 74, died early Sunday morning in a Norway hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Windsor, Vt., April 19, 1899, the son of Elmer and Rena Jackman Henley. He attended Waterford and Norway schools and for many years owned and operated a poultry farm and conducted lumber operations in the area. Mr. Henley attended the North Waterford Congregational Church, was a 50 year member and past member of Mt. Tirem Lodge, AF & AM, Waterford, a member of Oxford Royal Arch Chapter, Norway, a 50 year member of the Odd Fellows being a former member of the North Waterford Lodge and now a member of the Norway Lodge IOOF. He was a former director and had served as electrician for many years for the World's Fair Assn. of North Waterford and had been active in the Androscoggin Valley Numismatic Assn.

Surviving are his widow, the former Mary Edna Harriman of North Waterford; a son, Berkeley N. of Oxford; two daughters, Mrs. Jean McAllister, Mechanic Falls, and Mrs. Lynda Hill, North Waterford; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, State Senator Lowell Henley, Norway and Albert Henley, Locke Mills; three sisters, Mrs. Erna Hosmer and Mrs. Arlene Saleeby, both of Norway and Mrs. Mildred Underwood of St. Petersburg, Fla.

HENLEY -- In Norway, February 10, Berkeley G. Henley of North Waterford. Funeral services Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Huff Funeral Home, 21 Main St., South Paris. Spring interment will be in the Norway Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 7-9 p.m. Expression of sympathy in his memory may be sent to the Ledgeview Memorial Home, West Paris.
