ALDEN V. COLE

LAGRANGE --
Alden V. Cole, 84, died Feb. 6, 1981 in Lincoln. He was born Oct. 11, 1896, in Springfield, the son of Elmer and Viana (Davis) Cole.

He was a veteran of World War I, a 50 year member of the Carl Burrill Post, American Legion. He was a charter member of the Penquis Beekeepers Association and a life member of the Maine Sheep Breeders Association. He was a Maine guide and trapper for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie (Bunker) Cole of Lagrange; one foster brother Harland Cole of Lincoln; two foster sisters, Mrs. Lewis (Glenace) Hanscom of Lincoln, Mrs. Earl (Ava) Liscott of Springfield; one half brother, Walter Wood of Vassalboro; one nephew, Ronald Wood of Vassalboro; several cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Barton Funeral Home in Lincoln with the Rev. John Larkin officiating. Spring burial will be in Cole Cemetery, Springfield. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make donations to the Tumor Clinic of the Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor, which may be left at the funeral home.
