EARLE W. "BROCK" LINSCOTT

SPRINGFIELD -- Earle W. "Brock" Linscott, 72, died Oct. 2, 1986 at a Lincoln hospital.

He was born in Kingman July 24, 1914, the son of Clyde and Annie (Bishop) Linscott. He was employed for 27 years by Eastern Standard Packaging Corp. For seven years, he owned and operated Linscott's Service Station in Springfield, retiring due to ill health 11 years ago. He had served as first selectman and as a member of the school board for several years. He had also been a state agent for the Health and Welfare Department.

He is survived by his wife, Ava (Cole) Linscott of Springfield; one son, Fernald Linscott of Springfield; one daughter, Gloria Kulberg of Bangor; four sisters, Lilleth LaCasse of Mattawamkeag, Laura Savage of Lincoln, Thelma Decrow of Augusta and Rachel Clark of Syracuse, N.Y.; three brothers, William Linscott of Springfield, Mervin Linscott and Herbert Linscott, both of Kingman; one grandson, Thomas Earle Linscott of Springfield; three granddauughters, Lynne Mae Haynes of Winn, Kimberly Reynolds of Kittery and Karen Greer of Bangor; five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Clay, Stevens & Clay Funeral Home, Lincoln, with the Rev. Duane Waite officiating. Burial will be in Cole Cemetery, Springfield. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.
