Janette Worster weds K.F. Stetson

Gardiner, Sept. 25 -- Miss Janette Theo Worster became the bride of Kenneth Francis Stetson, son of Arthur Stetson of Winthrop and the late Mrs. Stetson, at a candlelight service recently in the Highland Avenue Methodist Church with the Rev. David R. Hickland performing the ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, Vinal Worster of Springfield, wore an ivory colored satin gown fashioned with long pointed sleeves, sheer yoke, and lace insert, en train. Her fingertip veil was caught to a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of gladioli with a white orchid center.

Mrs. Mary Worster attended as matron of honor and wore a dusty rose gown of rayon taffeta with matching mitts and headdress. She carried a bouquet of mixed flowers.

The Misses Katherine Burns, Marie Buckley, Arlene Peters and Claire Lyons were bridesmaids, wearing identical gowns of dusty fall blue with bustles, matching mitts and headdress. They carried arm bouquets of mixed flowers.

Mr. Stetson chose as his best man his brother, Robert Stetson.

Ushers were Walter Bailey, George Stetson, Robert Larrabee and Charles Kyes.

Kay Anne Norton was flower girl. Mrs. Llewellyn Colomy, organist, played the wedding marches.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at home of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Snyder, Maple Street, Randolph.

Miss Betty Locke was in charge of guest book; Mrs. Charles Kyes and and Mrs. Walter Bailey, punch bowl; Miss Marion Brown and Dorothy Luby, gifts; and Mrs. Robert Stetson and Mrs. George Stetson assisted with the serving.

Following a wedding trip to New York City, Mr. and Mrs. Stetson are now at home at the South Apartments, Orono, where Mr. Stetson is a student at University of Maine.
