EROLD R MADDEN SR.
MILFORD -- Erold R. Madden Sr., 84, of 85 Main Road, died Friday Aug. 17, 1979 at his residence. He was born Dec. 17, 1894, in Passadumkeag, the son of Harry F. and Callie (Cary) Madden. He had been employed at the Penobscot Chemical Fiber Co. for 28 years. He was a life member of Masonic Lodge No. 60, A.F. and A.M. He was a former first selectman of Milford, serving 10 years, and a former member of the Milford Fire Department. He is survived by one son, Erold R. Madden, Jr. of Brewer; three daughters, Pauline A. Brown of Danvers, Mass., Marjorie M. Dionne of Old Town, and Frances E. Bean of Milford; one brother, Guy K. Madden of Greenfield; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Baillargeon Funeral Home, 109 Middle St., Old Town, Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Small officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town.
