IRA ARCHER
TOPSFIELD -- Ira Archer, 73, formerly of Calais, died Dec. 28, 1992, at a Calais hospital. he was born May 28, 1919, at Trescott, the son of Lester and Angie (Pinkham) Archer. He was a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife Joyce (Lindsey) Archer of Topsfield; one son Douglas Archer of St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada; three step-sons, Randy McLellan and Jay McLelland, both of Topsfield; Roddie McLellan of Smyrna Hills; four step-daughters, Rhonda Daggett of Falmouth, Cheryl Strid of Greenville, Connie Mendonca of Caribou, Kim Khiel of Princeton; two brothers, Rolla Archer of Alexander and Henry Archer of Ellsworth; two sisters, Gladys Kelley of Lubec and Thelma Urquhart of Machais; 16 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the deceased there will be no visiting hours. A graveside memorial service will take place in the spring in New Topsfield Cemetery. Arrangements by Scott-Wilson Funeral Home, Calais.
