CLARK WISE

GALESBURG -
Clark Wise, 72, 1145 Frank St., Galesburg, formerly of Delong, died at 1 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Galesburg Terrace Nursing Center.

He was born Aug. 2, 1935, in Galesburg, the son of Rolland "Bill" and Imogene Lindsey Wise. He married Patricia Miller and later married Patsy Frank.

Surviving are: daughters Marjorie (Dana) Scheib of Genoa City, Wis., and Amanda (Kevin) Sander of Bailey, Colo.; sons John "Bill" (Tami) Wise of Ooltewah, Tenn., and Jay (Teresa) Wise of Knoxville; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother William L. "Bill" Wise of Galesburg. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was reared and educated in Knoxville, graduating from the Knoxville High School in 1952. He then attended Western Illinois University in Macomb.

He worked at Admiral Corporation in Galesburg until 1965 and then worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation in Knoxville for 25 years, retiring in November 1996.

He was a member of East Galesburg Community Chapel in East Galesburg.
He was a volunteer fireman for the Knoxville Community Fire Protection District at the former Delong Station.

He was a member of the Pacific Masonic Lodge #66, AF&AM of Knoxville.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, with the Rev. Milton Marquith officiating.
Visitation will be today from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, with Masonic Rites conducted by the Pacific Masonic Lodge #66, AF&AM of Knoxville at 7:30 p.m.

Burial will be in Haynes Cemetery in rural Delong, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to East Galesburg Community Chapel in East Galesburg.
