Charles Ledbetter

NORTH LIVERMORE --
Charles W. Ledbetter, 65, died Thursday morning at the Pomeroy Hill Nursing Home where he had been a patient for one week.

Mr. Ledbetter was born in Livermore Falls, May 12, 1915, the son of Shirley and Nellie Danforth Ledbetter. He was educated in the Livermore Falls school system and married Eunice Polly [sic] of Andover Dec. 13, 1933 in Livermore. He worked for International Paper Company for 43 years, retiring in 1976. He was a former member of the sportsman's association of Maine, Jay-Livermore Falls Hunting Club, the Quarter Century Club of International Paper Company, the Androscoggin Valley Beagle Club, the Eastern Maine Beagle Club, the Vermont Beagle Club of Hardwick, the Fundy Beagle Club of St. Martin, N.B. and the Maine Beagle Association. He was active in beagle field trials on the east coast of North America.

He is survived by his wife of North Livermore; one son, Charles F., North Livermore; one daughter, Nancy Small, Rensselar, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Rena Willey of Skowhegan and Mrs. Rachel White of Turner; one brother, George of Newport; five grandchildren.

Funeral Notices

LEADBETTER --
At Livermore Falls, Jan. 8, 1981, Charles W. Leadbetter, age 65, a resident of North Livermore. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Brown-Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls. Interment in Waters Hill Cemetery, Livermore in the Spring. At the request of the family, there will be no calling hours. If desired, contributions may be sent to Alzheimer's Disease Foundation, care of Albert Einstein College of Medicine, 1300 Morris Park Ave., Bronx, N.Y., 10461 In memory of Charles W. Leadbetter.
