Miss Elizabeth Walker Weds Russell Hammond, Today

This afternoon at 4 o'clock in the garden at the Conant home at 205 Lake Street, Auburn, Miss Elizabeth Walker, daughter of Charles W. Walker of Greene, became the bride of Russell Pettengill Hammond of Leeds and Walpole, Mass. Rev. Sias officiated at the double ring service. Music was furnished by Mrs. Rose Coburn with Miss Althea Walker, sister of the bride singing.

The bride was gowned in white ladyship organdy, fashioned with a long full skirt and sweetheart neckline and puff sleeves. She carried a colonial bouquet of white sweet peas and gladiola blossoms.

The maid of honor, sister of the bride, wore a blue gown of ladyship organdy, and carried a colonial bouquet of mixed flowers.

Cecil Hammond of Walpole, Mass. was best man.

The reception will follow the ceremony and afterward the young couple will leave for their new home in Norwood, Mass.

Miss Walker was graduated from Kents Hill Seminary and from the School of Nursing at the Augusta General Hospital.

Mr. Hammond is a native of Leeds but has been employed for several years in Walpole, Mass.
