DANFORTH -- Lloyd P. Schillinger, 84, died Sunday Oct. 8, 1989, at Houlton. He was born Nov. 19, 1904 at Orient, Maine, the son of Lindsay and Agnes (Perry) Schillinger. He was a graduate of Danforth High School and the University of Maine Machais, and he recieved his bachelor's and master's degree from Boston University. He was a retired school teacher, having taught six years in Maine and 32 years in Massachusetts, the last 19 of which he taught at Northbridge Junior and Senior High School in Whitinsville, Mass. He retired in 1964.
He was a member of the National Retired Teacher's Association and a life member of the American Legion Post No. 45 in Danforth. He served more than three years during World War II with the 312th Bombardment Group as a statistician in this country, New Zealand, Australia, New Guinea, and three islands of the Philippines, before his discharge in 1945.
He is survived by two nieces; three grand-nieces; an aunt, Abby French; and several cousins. Friends may call at the Barlett Funeral Home, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bartlett Funeral Home, Danforth, with the Rev. Foster Williams officiating. Interment will be in the family lot Danforth Cemetery.
