AUBURN -- Laurence L. "Larry" White, 46, of General Turner Hill, Turner, died unexpectedly Mon. Jan. 12. He was born in Westbrook, March 17, 1951, the son of Shelton S. and Rachel E. Leadbetter White, Sr.
He was educated in Skowhegan grammar schools and moved to Auburn in 1965. He graduated from Edward Little High School in 1969 and attended the Maine Maritime Academy. He obtained his bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Southern Maine. On Aug. 26, 1972, he married the former Carrie A. Glasson. He was presently employed as general manager at American Tire Exporters in Lewiston.
He enjoyed his family, especially his grandson. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife of Turner; three daughters, Genevieve, a student at Boston University, Robyn, a student at St. Joseph's College, Danielle, a student at Bradford College, all of Turner; two sons, Dominique and his wife Carrie, serving in the U.S. Army in Germany and Andrew, a student at Leavitt Area High School of Turner; his parents of Auburn and Gulfport, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Callie) Gilberti of Hampden; three brothers, Sam and his wife, Francoise and Alan and his wife, Marcia, all of Auburn and Bruce of Gulfport, Fla.; a grandson, Izaac; nieces and nephews.
