Miller - Stinchfield

WAYNE -
Mrs. Allan Stinchfield announces the marriage of her son, Pvt. Roger Maxim Stinchfield, USA to Betty Lorraine Miller, daugher of Mr. and Mrs. F. Warren Miller of Reading, Mass.

The couple was wed in a military double-ring ceremony Oct. 22 at Brookings, South Dakota, by Rev. C.E. Tulga, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Miss Doris Steele of County Road was maid of honor and Charles Zahl, best man. Guests were present from the Army Specialized Training corps representing 15 States.

The bride wore a powder blue crepe gown, with cut steele buckles, and carried red roses. Miss Steele was attired in blue velvet, and carried red roses.

Mrs. Stinchfield was graduated from Reading High School and from Colby Junior College. Before her marriage, she was employed by Marsh and McLennan, Inc., insurance brokers, Boston.

Private Stinchfield was graduated from Winthrop High School with highest honors, and from the University of Maine. He was engaged at graduate work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before entering the service.

The bride's mother accompanied her to Brookings for the ceremony and an aunt, Mrs. Sylvia C. Lewis, of Chicago, joined them at that city.

Pvt. and Mrs. Stinchfield will make their home at 612 Melary Ave., Brookings, to be near South Dakota State University, where the bridegroom is doing research work for the U.S. Army.
