Mrs. Olive Turner


Mrs. Olive Morse Lothrop Turner died today at the Leaghelm Home, 109 Davis Ave., Auburn after having been a patient there seven months. Mrs. Turner, who had lived in Lewiston for 50 years, was a resident of 327 Main Street, Lewiston. She was the widow of Dr. John M. Turner of Gardiner.

Mrs. Turner was born at Saco [sic], May 5, 1858 [sic], the daughter of Davis F. and Caroline S. Morse Lothrop. She was a member of the many local organizations, including the Daughters of the American Revolution, Women's Literary Union, Rugged Cross Shrine of Jerusalem, Mount Olivet Chapter, OES, and the Federated Church of Lewiston.

Survivors are one daughter, Florence E. Turner of Lewiston; five nieces, Mrs. Lucile Haley, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Stella Starkey, Washington, D.C., Mrs. Livette Belah, Gold Hill, Ore., Mrs. Louise Buckley, Crestview, Fla., and Mrs. Caroline Carlee, Essex Falls, N.J.; and two nephews, Dr. Rex Lothrop, Philadelphia and Dr. Guy Lothrop, Chicago.

DIED -- in Auburn, May 10, 1947, Olive Lothrop Turner, age 80. Funeral services will be attended at the Teague & Stevens Funeral Home, Monday at 2 p.m. Interment, Leeds, Maine.
