SOUTH PORTLAND --
Edwin S. Page, 80, of 818 Broadway, South Portland, died Aug. 22, 1989, at a Portland hospital.

He was born at Derby [sic], Oct. 27, 1908, the son of Sherman and Nellie (Sanford) Page. He attended Milo schools and was a graduate of Milo High School; a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono, Class of 1934; a member of Elm Street United Methodist Church; member and treasurer of the Elm Street Men's Club; and a member of the Masons in Charleston. He was a mechanical engineer for the Portland Pipeline and the Portland Company and then worked for the State of Maine Boys Training Center as a counselor, retiring in 1982.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Athalie (Chase) Page of South Portland; two daughters, Mrs. Norman (Cynthia) Hughes of South Portland and Mrs. Jon (Constance) Stuart of Carmel; three sons, Robert S. Page of South Portland, David E. Page of Saco, and Donald C. Page of Hermon; two sisters, Ruby K. Page and Margaret E. Page, both of South Portland; 10 grandchildren and four great grand-daughters.

Visiting hours will be held 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Rd., South Portland, where funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Mills Cemetery, Bradford. Contributions may be made to the Elm Street Methodist Church, South Portland.
