Charles R. Pray


Charles R. Pray, 83, a former resident, died Sunday at West Paris where he had made his home for the past 17 years.

Born at Bradley, Aug. 6, 1872, he was the son of George W. and Catherine Bishop Pray. He was educated at Bradley schools and was a carpenter by trade and was employed by Weston Davis of Lewiston for many years.

His wife was the former Gladys M. Fowler.

Surviving are two sons, Donald Pray of West Paris with whom he resided, Kenneth Pray of Windham; three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Jones, Gardiner, Mrs. Irene Jenkins of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Thelma Mayberry of West Paris; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

DIED -- In West Paris, March 25, 1956, Charles A. Pray. Funeral services will be held at the Plummer & Merrill Funeral Home Wednesday 2 p.m. Friends unable to attend may call at the funeral home Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
