VERA (HOMER) LARRABEE
BUCKSPORT -- Vera "Betty" Larrabee, 79, died Feb. 21, 1996, at Belfast healthcare center after a month long illness.
She was born July 16, 1916 [sic], at Bangor, the daughter of Ray R. and Gladys (Lowell) Homer.
She was predeceased by her husband, Franklin; a son, John Asa Larrabee. She is survived by her son, David H. Larrabee of Belfast; and four grandchildren, Paul Bilodeau of Tacoma, Wash., Amy R. Larrabee of Belfast, James A. and Jennifer A. Larrabee of Chandler, Ariz.
She graduated from Farmington State Normal School in 1938, majoring in home economics and taught school at Belfast in the late 1930's and during World War II in Biloxi, Miss. A lifelong resident of Bucksport, she worked at the Buck Memorial Library for the past 27 years. An avid bridge player, she will be sorely missed by her many card playing friends.
