David A. Hester was born in Minneapolis, MN in 1926.

He passed away peacefully at 10:15am on a Tuesday morning, Nov. 20, 2012 at the Sun City PCU on Olive Ave. in Peoria, AZ.

He graduated from High School in Minneapolis, MN with the class of '44, and went on to enlist in the US Navy where he served during WWII. During his active duty he met Claire, and they married.

After discharge from the Navy he attended the University of Minnesota where he graduated with a Bachelor's in Pharmacy. He worked in Minneapolis for several years as a pharmacist, and eventually moved to Bismarck, ND after he became employed with Eli Lilly Company as a pharmaceutical representative and eventually retired in ND first, then later in AZ where he occasionally worked in pharmacy as part-time relief help.

Also, when in Bismarck, he enlisted in the Army National Guard where he served for many years, eventually acquiring the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During his marriage he and Claire raised a family of three sons and one daughter.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Claire and his parents, Donald and Maybelle Hester. He is survived by his four children; Ray, Georgie Ann, Jeff, and James; along with 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
