MAURICE B. BYERS
LINCOLN -- Maurice B. Byers, 70, died Nov. 29 at a Bangor hospital following a long illness.
He was born May 1, 1901 at Island Falls.
He was owner and operator of the Lincoln Auto Body Shop for many years, and was a member of the Lincoln Chapter, Order of Eastern Star; Past High Priest of Mosaic Chapter of Lincoln; Rising Virtue Lodge of Masons, Bangor; Bangor Council No. 5, St. John's Commandery No. 3; Anah Temple Shrine, Bangor; a member of the Lincoln Fish and Gun Club and the 10 Club of Mattawamkeag.
He is survived by his wife Cora Thompson Byers of Lincoln; one son, Robert B. Byers, Spring Lake, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Aucock of Clearwater, Fla.; two step-children, Mrs. Diana Johnston of Lincoln, and L. Richard Van Sickle of Ft. Lee, Va.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Barton Funeral Home, Lincoln, with the Rev. Edward Bristow officiating.
Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery.
Masonic services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
