BATH
HAGGETT, Harold D., 86, died March 20 at a Brunswick nursing home following a lengthy illness.
He was born May 13, 1886, at Edgecomb, son Verdel and Winniefred (Welch) Haggett. Educated in the Bath schools, Graduate of Hebron Academy, the University of Maine, class of 1909, where he was a member of the Delta Tau fraternity. He was a member of the Polar Star Masonic Lodge of Bath and life member of Korah Temple Shrine. He was a member of the Maine Good Roads Association and the Maine Society of Professional Engineers. He worked with the Pennsylvania and Boston-Maine Railroad and retired from he Maine State Highway Commission.
Survivors include three sons, James W. of Wellesley, Mass.; John D. of Bath and Richard M. of White River Junction, Vt.; four grandsons and one granddaughter; four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Cowan's Funeral Home, Wiscasset. Friends who wish may make contributions to the Lincoln Home at Newcastle.
