Mrs. Mary B. Ayer


Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Berry Ayer, 89, widow of Joseph B. Ayer of Bangor, Me., who died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Miss Anna C. Ayer of 16 Winchester Street, Brookline, will be held this afternoon from the daughter's home at 2 o'clock. The body will be sent to Bangor, where services will be held in Mt. Hope Chapel Tuesday morning at 11:30.

Mrs. Ayer was born in New York City. For many years she was prominent as a musician in Bangor. For the last 15 years, she had been a resident of Brookline, where she was a member of St. Mark's Church. She is survived by two daughters, the one with whom she made her home, and Mrs. Ralph L. Flanders of Brookline, wife of the manager of the New England Conservatory of Music.
