GARETH S. LINDSAY
HUNTSVILLE, ALA., and LINCOLN - Gareth S. Lindsay, died April 18, 1986, at Humana Hospital, Huntsville, Ala.
He was born in Lincoln, March 19, 1935, the son of Verne and Natalie (Kneeland) Lindsay. He was a graduate of Mattanawcook Academy in the Class of 1953. He enlisted in the Air Force in August, where he spent four years. After his discharge in 1957, he entered the University of Maine, graduating with high honors in the Class of 1961. While working with Sylvania Corp. in Waltham, Mass., he studied and received his master's degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University in Boston. While working for that company, he and his family spent three years on Kwajalein Island in the South Pacific. At the time of his death he was working as branch manager for Teledyne Brown Engineering in Huntsville, Ala.
Besides his mother of Lincoln, he is survived by his wife, the former Diana (Lakeman) of Huntsville; a daughter, Karen, 23, a student at Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, Ala.; a son, Daniel, 20, of Huntsville.
Memorial services will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Clay, Stevens & Clay Funeral Home, Lincoln, with Dr. George Fowler officiating. Donations in his memory may be sent to the cancer society or to the charity of one's choice.
