Edna M. King

CARROLL -- Edna M. King, 80, wife of the late Clair D. King, died Oct. 19, 1997, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born in Prentiss, Nov. 26, 1916, the daughter of Fred and Maybelle (Chubbuck) Glidden.

Over the years, she enjoyed many things, from crocheting hundreds of pot holders, knitting for everyone that needed, and loved flowers and working with them.

She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Bernice "Bunny" and Carroll Monroe and Teresa and Dale "Ruben" King, all of Lincoln; six grandchildren, Brian Monroe, Malcolm Monroe, Shari Sawyer and Scott and Stuart Wade King, all of Lincoln, Darla Hope Osgood and Delbert of Passadumkeag, and Dale Ann Spinney and Kurt of Lincoln; great-granddaughters, Kristina Erin Tozier and Shelby Elizabeth Spinney of Lincoln; step great-grandchildren, Kyle and Kaeley Spinney of Glenburn; brothers, Bennie Glidden of Gardiner, Amos Glidden of Topsham and Clifton Glidden of Prentiss; sisters-in-law, Hannah, Geraldine and Nell; and she was a special "Mom" to many, many nieces and nephews. She also leaves a special person to her, Jeff Tozier of Lincoln.

In addition to her husband, Clair, she was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Agnes, Harris, Bessie, Lottie, Gracie, George, Dexter, Richard, Alvin, Lewis, Leo, Vernard and Vernie.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Clay Funeral Home in Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Priscilla Schumm officiating. Interment will be in Lindsay Cemetery, Carroll.
