YAPS, Lena C. Lee (Lena Claire) Yaps, 86, died peacefully Monday evening, (April 25, 2011).
She was the beloved wife of Edward R. Yaps, who died in 1983. Lee and Ed raised their family in Stratford, CT. where Lee worked as the executive secretary to the president of Remington Arms.
She leaves behind her son Bob and his wife Tish of East Orleans, MA, and daughter Janet Ham of Franklin, MA. Also, her cherished grandchildren; Tom Yaps of Los Angeles, CA, Megan Yaps of East Orleans, MA, and Kevin Ham of Bourne, MA. She is survived by her sisters Louise Del Grosso and Josephine Kustra, and was predeceased by her sisters Gloria Otzell and Rosette Greenhill.
Lee was an avid Yankees fan, a fabulous baker, but will most be remembered for her devotion to her family. Services will be privately held. .
