FARMINGTON -
Ralph Nelson, 53, for many years a resident of Farmington and a graduate of Farmington High School, died suddenly at Melrose, Mass., where he had resided the past 15 years.

He was born Dec. 4, 1901 at Brunswick, the son of Linwood F. and Maude Bangs Nelson. Treasurer of the Forest Wadding Company of Boston, he was a past commander of Hugh de Payne Commandry, past high priest of the Waverly? Chapter; member of the Melrose Fidelity Lodge of Melrose, Mass., Son of Revolution, Mayflower Massachusetts Society, Aleppo Temple Shrine, Melrose Council, Wakefield Baptist Church and past president of the Wakefield YMCA Men's Club. He was a direct descendant of William Brewster.

He leaves his widow, Mrs. Rachel Nelson, sister to Mrs. Harry Smith of New Vinyard; a daughter, Mrs. Winona C. Millett, Rumford; three sons, Linwood J., Raymond L., and Allen R., all of Melrose; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Bradford, Bangor; and three grandchildren.

DIED - At Melrose, Aug. 27, 1955, Ralph Nelson, age 53 years. A commendery committal service will be conducted at the grave at Riverside Cemetery, Farmington, Me. Wednesday at 1 p.m.
