JULIAN H. MERRILL, 65, OF ORONO, DIES
MACHIAS, July 12 - Julian H. Merrill, 65, or Orono, a former Portland resident, died Friday in a Machias hotel, where he had stopped overnight on a business trip. Merrill was a native of China, Me. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Miss Ernestine Merrill, now a member of the Bates College summer school faculty; and two sons, Julian Jr. of Campbellton, N.B.; and Lawrence Merrill of Bucksport.
The daughter Miss Ernestine Merrill, came to the Bates campus a week ago, to be social director for the present session of summer school.
