Roger B. Sawin Rites Tomorrow in Brighton
Roger B. Sawin, 63, of 118 Parker St., Newton, former oil burner repairman in the Brighton Allston area, died yesterday at Jewish Memorial Hospital, following a long illness.
A lifelong resident of Brighton, he had lived at 12 Saunderson Place, Brighton, until he became ill early this year.
He was graduated from Brighton High School and was a commercial printer at the Oxford Print Co. in Boston until World War II when he went to the Watertown Arsenal as a machinist.
For 25 years, he installed and repaired oil burners until he was disabled in a highway accident and retired in 1955.
He leaves two sons, Paul of Newton, a Herald Traveler repoter, and George of Brighton; a brother, Frank of Waltham; four sisters, Mrs. Marion Redonett of Dorchester; Mrs. Geneva Schofield of Eastham; Mrs. Eleanor Hedding of Randolph, Vt. and Mrs. Mabel McDonald of Newton.
A requieum high Mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 9 a.m.at St. Columbkille's Church, Brighton.

Muldoon & Son Funeral Home, 300 Market St., Saturday at 8 a.m. High Mass of Requiem in St. Columbkille's Church at 9 a.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the Beth Israel Hospital. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
