RANDOLPH - L. Keith Campbell, 97, died Jan. 18, 2001, at Menig Extended Care Facility in Randolph.

He was born in Washington, Feb. 11, 1903, the son of Edgar and Edith (Kibby) Campbell.

He grew up in Brookfield and Randolph and graduated from Vermont Agricultural School.

He married Leola Carpenter in 1932. She died in 1995.

He operated a farm on Lower Farm Road in Randolph, worked for Green Mountain Stock Farm and raised mink. He retired from Ethan Allen Co. in Randolph where he was a machine operator.

Mr. Campbell enjoyed playing baseball on Randolph teams, gardening, fishing, hunting, trapping and beekeeping.

Survivors include a son, Lawrence Campbell of North Clarendon; three daughters, Corinne Harrness of Randolph, Joyce Merrill of Hardwick and Rebecca Hedding of Rutland; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Kenneth Campbell, Victor Campbell and Gordon Campbell, and a sister Inella Campbell.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Day Funeral Home in Randolph. The Rev Kathy Eddy will officiate.

Friends may call Sunday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at a later date in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Randolph.
