Andrew J. Prevete
SALEM, N.H. -- Andrew J. Prevete, 76, a resident of Salem, died Tuesday, June 7, at his home. He was the husband of Louise M. Prevete, to whom he was married for 52 years.
He was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., and educated in Brooklyn and Queens. He later moved to Billerica and had been a resident of Salem for the past 39 years.
Mr. Prevete served in the Army during the Korean War.
He was employed in the Failure Analysis Department of Raytheon Co. in Lowell.
He was a member of the VFW Post 8546, the Woodcarver's Club, the Salem Athletic Club, and the Young at Hearts Club.
He was an avid woodcarver and a history buff.
Besides his wife, survivors include a son, James Prevete of Lawrence, Mass.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Gloria DeCesare of Columbia, Md., Carolyn and Jim Bosch of Dracut, LuAnn and Jay Ramos of Salem, and Mary Beth and William Parkinson of Hampton; a brother, Anthony Prevete Jr., of New York; 10 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
