Miss Fessenden is Honored at Parties Teas and Showers Precede Wedding July 1
Mrs. Roger H. Wolcott of Whittier St., entertained recently at an afternoon tea and miscellaneous shower honor Miss Eunice May Fessenden of Hancock St., who is to be married on Saturday, July 1 to Robert C. Poole. Guests were present from Northampton and Springfield.
Hostess at another complimentary tea and shower the 9th was Mrs. Carl Rosenholm of Governor St., including among the guests were friends from Natick.
An event of Friday evening was a prenuptial party when Mrs. Henry Friberg of Gresham Ave., opened her home to guests from Melrose, Connecticut, Longmeadow, East Longmeadow and many friends of Miss Fessenden's from Springfield.
Following the wedding rehearsal at 7:30 in Asbury Methodist Church on Friday, the 30th, Mr. and Mrs. Ben L. Poole of Hickory St., will be hosts at a luncheon and garden party for the wedding attendants at their home.
Miss Fessenden, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Fessenden was graduated with honors on June 2 from Pratt Institute.
Mr. Poole, a veteran of World War II, having served in the European theater War.
Miss Fessenden has chosen as her maid of honor her sister, Miss Elsie Fessenden, and bridesmaids Mrs. Henry Friberg of Springfield and Mrs. Francis Pratt of East Longmeadow.
Mr. Poole, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben L. Poole of Hickory St., will be attended by his brother, William Poole of Skaneateles, New York and ushers will be Carl Rosenholm and Arnold Talbert of Springfield.
Following the wedding ceremony a reception for the invited guests will be held in the church parlors.

Eunice F. Poole
SPRINGFIELD - Eunice F. Poole, 81, of Hawthorne St. died at her home Friday.
She was born in Springfield June 16, 1929 the daughter of the late Willard D. and Christina (Nichols) Fessenden. She attended Springfield schools graduating from Technical High School. She graduated from Pratt Institute in New York in 1950.
Mrs. Poole was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. For several years she taught in the Springfield school system and was active in the Tech Band Parents organization. Mrs. Poole retired from Western Mass. Electric Co. where she organized many bus tours.
Besides her husband, Robert C. Poole, she is survived by 2 sons, Richard S. of Pennsylvania and Donald B. of Mississippi and 5 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Dickinson-Streeter Funeral Home, 305 State St. Saturday, Jan. 22nd at 2:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home preceding the service from 1 to 2:30. A private committal will be at the MA Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Baystate VNA/Hospice or to Trinity United Methodist Church.
