Josephine Kos
Josephine M. (Laskowski) Kos, 73, of Chicopee, a retired 20-year employee of Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co., died Saturday at home.
She retired in 1979. Born in Suffield, Conn., she lived here most of her life. She was a communicant of the Basilica of Saint Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr and a member of the Disabled American Veterans Women's Auxiliary, Chapter 11 of Westover.
She leaves her husband of 53 years, Walter C. Kos Sr.; a son, Walter C. Kos Jr. of Feeding Hills, two daughters, Barbara Johnson of Belchertown and Kathleen Rosenholm of West Springfield; a brother, Frank Laskowski of Vernon, Conn., four sisters, Helen Geromiller of Broad Brook, Conn., Nellie Salisbury of Enfield, Conn., and Martha and Frances Laskowski of Hartford; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be Tuesday morning from Cierpial Funeral Home with burial in Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, both in Chicopee. Calling hours are Monday afternoon and evening. Memorial contributions may be made to Chicopee Visiting Nurse Association, P.O. Box 37, 152 Center St., Chicopee. 01014.
