Muriel (Peterlin) Barrows

Muriel (Peterlin) Barrows, 74, of Liverpool, N.Y., died suddenly Friday evening at St. Josephs Hospital.

She was born in Eveleth, where she graduated from high school and junior college. She and her husband moved to the Central New York area 50 years ago. She was employed by the Liverpool School System for many years as a teachers aid and retired in the early-1990s. Her family and friends will always remember her for the spirit and joy that she brought to the Christmas season during her entire life. Her hobbies included cooking, history and listening to the music of World War II. She was a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother and friend who made our house a home.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Kenneth; daughter, Leslie Barrows of Liverpool; son, Kenneth and his wife Patty Barrows of California; two granddaughters, Samantha and Andie; sisters, Joanne Anderson of Hibbing, and Jeanette Shutte of Green Bay, Wis.; brother, Albin Peterlin of Eveleth; and several nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Liverpool First Presbyterian Church, 603 Tulip St., Liverpool, N.Y. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St., Liverpool, N.Y. Contributions can be made in Muriels name to the Liverpool First Presbyterian Church, in lieu of flowers if desired.
